Our history
The SitesPlus parent company, Magellan Projects Ltd, was founded in 2000 and quickly built a reputation for custom-built, information rich sites.
In 2003, we developed our first self-build web sites for business networks and initiatives. Individual members soon spotted the potential for their own business. Many were anxious to create, or upgrade, their own website, but didn’t know where to start.
Some had worked with their local web designers, who built a site, but then charged for every subsequent change. Too much like writing a blank cheque.
Some had tried the ‘build my own website’ route, with mixed results. For a start, no-one wants their site to look like a website template. Everyone wants an individual, high quality site that looks like it cost a fortune. And who can blame them?
Others just didn't have a website at all. They were asking 'how do i build my own website, what do i need?'
To go it alone with a self-build website, they also needed to know that plenty of support would always be available, not just at the beginning, but throughout their lifetime, from friendly staff who understand, and share, their objectives.
And now….
So that was our brief for SitesPlus. A simple site-builder, a high quality result, good affordability and excellent, ongoing support.
And hundreds of subscribers later, we can point to the many start-up, growing and established businesses who subscribe to SitesPlus and are part of the success story. We’ve seen their websites grow with their business. We’ve seen businesses start from scratch, get their first online order (always a champagne moment!), then more and more……..
